The Events Committee plans, organizes, and executes community events to foster engagement and support for our parks and trails. Key responsibilities include:

Day-of-Event Execution: Manage setup, activities, and clean-up.
Events Committee Lead:

Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator recruits, manages, and supports volunteers. Key responsibilities include:

Volunteer Management: Schedule and oversee volunteers.
Support and Communication: Maintain regular communication.
Recognition and Retention: Appreciate and retain volunteers.

Time Commitment:
Events Committee: 2-5 hours per event, plus event time.
Social Media Committee: 3-5 hours per week.
Volunteer Coordinator: 2-5 hours per month, more during peak times.
Skills Needed:
Events Committee: Organizational skills, creativity, event planning experience (helpful but not required).
Social Media Committee: Familiarity with social media, good communication, content creation skills.
Volunteer Coordinator: Communication and interpersonal skills, volunteer management or HR experience (a plus).
Joining Multiple Committees: Yes, if you can manage the time and responsibilities.
Meeting Frequency:
Events Committee: At least two meetings per event.
Social Media Committee: Monthly.

Virtual meetings are acceptable. In-person meetings can be arranged with board assistance.
